Commercial K2 expeditions range roughly $30,000 (basic Sherpa-supported) to $80,000 (full-service Western-led). Beyond the Summit starts at $68,000 with 1:1 Western guiding, two private HAPs, unlimited oxygen and luxury basecamp — the top of the market's service ceiling, priced under its established leaders.
What experience do I need?
A prior 8,000 m summit (or 7,000 m+ with technical grades) and verified crevasse/fixed-line proficiency. Our Winter Recon program — a 30-day technical training and reconnaissance window — exists precisely to qualify serious candidates.
Why only twelve explorers?
Safety mathematics: guide ratios, oxygen logistics and weather-window rotations all degrade with crowd size. Twelve is the number at which every explorer keeps a personal guide and a private summit plan.
