Gilgit-Baltistan Grand Circuit

Ten days. Both kingdoms. One private convoy.

Gilgit-Baltistan Grand Circuit
Duration
10 days

The Grand Circuit joins what tour operators split: Hunza's terraced kingdom and Baltistan's fort country in one ten-day private convoy — Karimabad, Khunjerab, Attabad, the Deosai crossing, Skardu's lakes and deserts, and nights in both Serena forts, ending at Khaplu Palace on the road to the Hushe peaks.

Highlights
  • Every signature stop of GB in one route, no backtracking
  • The Deosai Plains crossing between Astore and Skardu — 4,100 m of wildflowers
  • Three heritage properties: Serena Hunza, Shigar Fort, Khaplu Palace
  • Private convoy with lead 4x4 and support vehicle throughout

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is the Deosai crossing always open?

The plateau road opens roughly mid-June to mid-October. Outside those dates the circuit runs via the Skardu Road along the Indus — longer, equally dramatic, and the itinerary absorbs it without losing a night.

Can the circuit run in reverse?

Yes — Skardu-first ordering suits guests connecting from the K2 trekking season, and blossom-chasers in April often start in Khaplu.
